LIONS CLUB NATIONAL CONGRESS 2022

From 20 to 22 May 2022, the city of Ferrara hosts the National Congress of Lions, after three years of closure. During the Congress, training courses, workshops, voting for the Office of Third International President of Lions, and gala dinners are held, which are convivial moments to get to know each other and exchange ideas and opinions.

There are about five thousand Lions participating in the event, coming from all over Italy. This is a large number of people, in a city that does its best to ensure maximum performance of the event. There is great mobility from all sectors of hospitality in Ferrara: from hotels, to restaurant services, to museums, to guided tours, to shuttle services.

It is a great opportunity for the city of Ferrara: it enjoys considerable visibility, thanks to the large number of Lions from other parts of Italy. It is a way for the rest of the peninsula to appreciate the jewel of Ferrara, a UNESCO heritage city since 1995, permeated with history in every cobbled street, in every building and historic palace, as well as in the air you breathe.

But who are the Lions? It is a worldwide service club organization. They have been working for years in the most noble causes, in favor of the most needy, in many different fields. They were born to fight blindness and subsequently expand to support the fight against many other diseases, and more.

Lions, therefore, means support for others and the will to make the world a better place, thanks to the work carried out and the principles supported by the International Club.
At the Hotel Lucrezia Borgia we have in turn committed ourselves to making ourselves available for this great event, and to host a large number of Lions, in the hope of having done something good in our small way, together with the welcome and the beauties of the city, during the prestigious National Convention of Lions!
